Georgina Parfitt was born and raised near Wymondham, Norfolk, At 18, she moved to the US to attend Harvard University, where she studied creative writing under the mentorship of Amy Hempel, and won the David Rice Ecker, Charles Edmund Horman, and Edward Eager Memorial Fund Prizes for writing. She received her MFA in Fiction from Boston University, where she went on to teach creative writing workshops, including Introduction to Creative Writing and Writing Fiction.  
 She has published fiction and non-fiction in publications across the US and UK, including Litro, The Atlantic, Nat Brut., and Unthank's own Unthology.  
 Her teaching philosophy favours the practical and the personal. Learning by writing. Sharing pieces of truth, being brave (we're in it together).
